Welcome

For those families who are just joining us-welcome.  Please contact Patrick at St. Paul for more information and details on how to sign your children up for class.  We look forward to serving you in the years to come. This program is for the Catholic students of St. Mary and St. Paul of Big Rapids, Michigan.  All are welcome to attend.  Classes are during the school year—Wednesday From 6pm to 7pm.  Come and join us!  Classes are located at St. Mary School. 

 

Starting the fall of 2007 we are going to begin using the term “Faith Formation” to describe what some of you may term as “religious education” or “CCD”.  Faith formation helps us to better describe how we as Catholics view our faith—as a process that forms our faith throughout our lives.  Join us in growing your faith and helping others grow their faith.

We say goodbye to Mrs. Patrick who was coordinating Religious Education for the past few years.  We wish her well as she moves away from Big Rapids. 

 

In the immediate future Patrick Herdegen will take over the responsibility for coordinating Evening Faith Formation.  Please feel free to contact Patrick at St. Paul Church for more information or to discuss a concern you may have.  He looks forward to serving all members of both parishes.

Class Schedule for 2007-2008—This schedule the schedule for the 2007-2008 school year.  We will update you as soon as possible if we find any changes that are needed.

Text used for classes: Faith First from RCL is the approved text for this years faith formation.   If you would like to review the text prior to classes beginning, please contact Patrick. He would be glad to make it available to you.  Also check out the material on www.faithfirst.com you will find additional online material for your student.  Having trouble getting them to study their text, have them work on chapter reviews and material online.
